After yesterday’s disappointment, today I saw Lenin. That may sound alittle morbid….I don’t think so.  It was kind of weird actually seeing the guy who changed the course of history.  Lying there in an ornate sealed glass casket for all to see.  The queues were fairly big.  Apparently they have dropped off substantially in recent years.  I can’t imagine the size of the queues in 1924 when he first lay in state, when weeping Soviets would have piled past him.  It would have been quite a sight.  Pictures are strictly forbidden in the state-room so I found this one on google to illustrate what I saw.

Here’s some more information on the life of Lenin too.  You see this is an educational blog too!!
