Chocolate Trees   Leave a comment

During our travels through Russia I kept thinking how much like the British countryside it all looked. If it wasn’t for the different style of electricity pylons and the run down wooden houses, I’d think I was at home.  We saw mainly birches, oaks, ferns and lush green grass.  All recovering from its very cold winter slumber.

In China I do hope the landscape looks different, more foreign.  Maybe some trees made of chocolate (I think I saw one made of toffee on the border), hedges growing spaghetti, wildflower meadows made of fruit pastels, the odd dragon circling in the sky and trolls under bridges maybe.  Here’s wishing.
