First Run in Oz   2 comments

Now I’m getting into a routine with work (Dive Centre) I managed to get out for a run this morning.  Picture this.  It’s 7.30 in the morning and because of the intensity of the sun I need to put sun cream on.  Yep welcome to the tropics Stef.  And the heat out there, Jesus.  I managed 1.45 miles in 14 minutes.  I’m trying not to beat myself up over the poor performance.  It’s going to take some building back up to my 20 miles a week quota of the UK…….I like a challenge.

  1. It’s been over a week since I last checked your blog and can’t believe how far you’ve gone in such a short time. Aussie sounds great and it’ll be a relief to get some normality back into your life………or will it? Take care with the diving and watch out for those sharks young man. Love Sue xx

    • Hi Sue,

Oz is amazing. Friendly, laidback and bloody hot. It’s hard work at the Dive Centre. We have already dome our Rescue Training last weekend and are now working on our Divemaster. Very excited today. We are diving the wreck of a boat called the Yongala. All onboard her died 100 years ago in a storm off Townsville. First time sea diving here. We will watch for sharks!
